  1. This is where you can get the “inside scoop” on Coor’s beer. It’s based in Golden, Colorado. When you go to the Coor’s Brewery, you can take a tour and learn about the background of the company and how the famous beer is made. You can taste things along the way during and after the tour!

  2. Wildlife Sanctuary: The Colorado Wild Animal Sanctuary was created to make a safe place for big cats that have been mistreated, gotten illegally, or have to be given up. Their goal is to get people to care about these animals and find them a safe, happy home. Going to this refuge can help make sure animals get the care they need.

  3. In Southern Colorado, you can visit Sand Dunes National Park, which has tall dunes and is protected as a national park. Along with the beach that’s there in the spring and summer, it’s known for its huge, straight dunes.

  4. People love Mesa Verde National Park for its wide views of the land, but the Puebloan cliff houses are what really draw people there. At the Chapin Mesa Archaeological Museum, you can learn all about the Native American people who used to live there.

  5. This is the state animal of Colorado: the bighorn sheep. The bighorn sheep really shows what Colorado is like. These beautiful, brave animals move through the Rocky Mountains as if they built the land themselves. There are people who come to Colorado just to see their huge horns and how they climb mountains.

  6. The Garden of the Gods is a “island” of beautiful sights in Colorado Springs that is only a short drive from the city. Some of the most interesting rock shapes in the area can be found in Garden of the Gods. There is also a beautiful path through wild plants.

  7. The Denver Aquarium is well worth a trip in a state that is mostly rural. You can see more than 500 different kinds of sea life in this modern tank. If you’re hungry for seafood after the walk, the Denver Aquarium has a pretty good seafood restaurant.

  8. The Denver Zoo is one of the most well-known zoos in the United States. There are more than 80 acres of land at this zoo, so it has been around for a long time.

  9. Red Rocks Amphitheatre: The Red Rocks Amphitheatre is made of natural rock forms and is famous for having great sound. A lot of well-known musicians go there in the spring and summer.

  10. During the night, you can go whitewater boating. This is one of the most exciting ways to go camping. You can walk, tell stories around a campfire, get your heart racing and then sleep under the stars to cap off the day.
