Mama cat saves kittens from the hearth. A brave cat was taking her babies out of a storage facility in Brooklyn when the fire department came to help.
A lot of people are talking about Scarlett and how she looks. She has a lot of scarlett clothes.
Her eyes were blistered shut, her ears and paws were scorched, and her coat was charred, “said firefighter David Giannelli. “The majority of her facial hair has been removed by burning. After protecting the babies, she became visible and touched each of her kittens with her nostril to ensure they were all there and alive, because the blisters on her eyes prevented her from seeing them, after which she dropped asleep. ” Scarlett and her children were able to obtain medical assistance after the fire was put out by Brooklyn firefighters. Unfortunately, one of her infants died, but the others were well-cared for and monitored at all times in their homes.
The North Shore Animal League was inspired by Scarlett’s story to create the “Scarlett Award for Animal Heroism,” which will be given to at least one deserving cat at their annual Lewyt Humane Awards Luncheon.
