The mother-daughter connection is like none other, and no one cannot measure the depth of love between them. Mother is the very first best and heroine of every girl. This is also a remarkable story of a mom and a daughter.
Suzy Garrett and her daughter Donna Garrett have written history together as the first-ever mother-daughter duo to pilot a commercial passenger plane. Now Suzy is 56, and she was also one of the first female pilots for regional US carrier SkyWest. Donna has also selected flying as her own career. Finally, Suzy also joined with SkyWest and operated an airplane alongside Suzy as SkyWest’s first mother-daughter pilot team. They performed a CRJ700 between Los Angeles, California, San Diego, California, Fresno, California, and Salt Lake City, Utah, From September 4-5, 2019. Another remarkable thing is Suzy, Suzy’s husband, their son Mark and Donna are also pilots. That thing also added a specialty to their story.
Donna has said that she has never had the opportunity to fly with a captain that’s that experienced, and she has seen them as a great foundation of communication. Suzy also valued Donna’s work in this way. “It’s indescribable, I’m really, really proud of her, she does a fantastic job.” She said.
This wonderful story went viral across the social media. Then they remained it as a proud way. “I was really surprised — as surprised as now it’s gone viral — but even that day, I haven’t had my picture taken that much since my wedding! Passengers taking pictures with us, rampers, flight attendants…That just helped make the day even more special, the support was really wonderful.” Suzy expressed what she felt about it.
“We worked very well together,” Donna said. “And it was just indescribable how much fun it was getting to fly alongside her, and how proud it made me to sit next to her.” She continued. Suzy and Donna wished to fly again together, but the Covid pandemic interrupted their plans. After this pandemic, they will definitely fly with love.
