Every newborn infant needs a mother’s warmth, care, and affection. But some infants badly missed their mother’s love. This story is about a newborn foal and a care bear. Breeze is a little pony he found abandoned on Dartmoor National Park when he was just a few hours old. Poor Breeze had been wandering without his mother. When rescuers found him, he has been collapsed from clinical shock and dehydration. Unfortunately, his mother could not be found in the area. However, Breeze needed his mother’s warmth and cuddling. Therefore he was given a cuddly toy to snuggle up to in the absence of a mother after he back to good health by rescuers. The vet had spent three hours by his side and put him on a saline drip, fitted him with a catheter, and gave him colostrum drips, milk, and medication after Breeze arrived at the equine center. This little pony is at the sanctuary’s Honeysuckle Farm in Newton Abbot, and he gets full attention of their staff.
Now a 4ft teddy bear plays the mother role for little Breeze. It is a heartwarming story, and you can imagine it by seeing the below captures.
Syra Bowden, the Sanctuary executive director, elaborated the heartwarming Breeze’s story in this way.
‘Sadly, little Breeze hasn’t got his mum around to keep him company”
‘Although his carers here at the sanctuary work around the clock to look after him, it’s not quite the same”
‘As a result, we always give our orphaned foals a giant cuddly toy as a companion. They’re just like human babies in the way it provides them with comfort.’
‘Breeze was very poorly when we first reached him and it was very much touch and go”
‘He’s now suckling well and feeding every hour. He even tried to have a little canter and buck in his stable over the weekend”
Ms.Bowden said that Breeze is not out of the woods yet, and they always keep a very close eye on him and care for him around the clock to ensure, and they do everything possible to help him pull through.
‘We all have our fingers crossed that Breeze will continue to grow strong’ she added more.
