Abby Hensel, known for sharing the spotlight with her conjoined twin Brittany in several TV features, has recently married.

The duo first captured public interest during a 1996 appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show at the tender age of six. In their 20s, they were the focus of the TLC series Abby & Brittany, which showcased their journey from college graduation to embarking on their careers.

A decade on, Abby has exchanged vows with Josh Bowling, a nurse and veteran of the US Army. Their wedding photo, featuring Brittany as well, has been shared on the Hensels’ shared Facebook page, showing the twins in a white dress and Bowling in a matching white suit.

Josh Bowling describes himself on his X profile as a ‘Christian, Father, Husband, Veteran, and occasional gamer’.

As dicephalus conjoined twins, Abby and Brittany share a circulatory system and all organs from the waist down. Abby controls the right side of their body, and Brittany the left.

During the premiere of their reality show, the twins shared that curiosity from others has been a constant in their lives. However, their upbringing emphasized that this curiosity should never be a barrier to achieving their aspirations.

Their parents, Patty and Mike, were presented with the option to separate them at birth. Yet, they chose not to proceed after learning both twins might not survive the surgery.

In a 2003 documentary, Joined For Life, it was revealed that Abby and Brittany had aspirations of motherhood, with their mother Patty acknowledging the feasibility of such a future.

At that time, Brittany expressed their mutual desire to become mothers, noting that, at 16, they hadn’t yet planned out the specifics of their parenting journey.
