Every time her caretaker sings her a lullaby, the elephant falls asleep and goes to sleep.

In Thailand, there is a wildlife sanctuary where volunteers do everything to make the elephants they care for feel safe and at home. Even though that might include songs for bedtime. When someone took a video of this, it was so cute. When her human friend sings her a lullaby, the gentle giant looks like a baby and goes to sleep.

The elephant sanctuary in Thailand’s Chiang Mai Province is home to many other animals, like Faamai. She was just a few months old when she moved in with the other animals there. Orphaned and scared, the elephant looked so helpless. Fortunately, one of the people at the sanctuary, Lek, or the elephant whisperer, gave her all the comfort she could ever have asked for.

As if Faamai were her own child, the woman took care of the elephant as if she were her own child. Before going to bed, she used to sing lullaby songs to her to help her sleep better. It worked. Even though Faamai is now an adult elephant, the same thing works even though she used to be small. In this picture, it’s clear that the two have a very close relationship.

It says in the YouTube description: “Every time she hears the lullaby from Lek, she still goes to sleep.” Watch the lovely moment below!
