You’ll be perplexed as to how something so exquisite can have such a stunning appearance. Don’t say we didn’t warn you that staring at this bird’s awe-inspiring beauty is a common occurrence.
As a member of the Aegithalidae family, it is known as the White-browed tit-warbler (Leptopoecile sophiae). Birds with somewhat long tails are classified as songbirds, which falls into the latter category.
These birds have prominent white eyebrows and distinctive purple-blue underparts, giving them a vibrantly colored appearance in flight. Light brown on top, pinkish belly, with violet-blue ramp and tail.
They’re so eye-catching because of all the different hues. When it moves, the colors of its plumage form a stunning rainbow pattern because they are perfectly blended together.
You won’t believe your eyes when you see what a small bird can accomplish. Just 6–8 grams or 0.21–0.28 ounces in weight measures 8.5–10 centimeters or 3.3–3.9 inches in length.
