Even though a lot has been written about Marilyn Monroe’s personal life and she is widely considered to be one of the best actors of all time, there are still fresh facts and chapters in the history of this great diva that come to light every once in a while. A short while ago, photographs of the pregnant star for the very first time were made public.
At the end of the previous year, an auction of the six photographs brought in a little more than $ 2,000 total. Why is it considered to be such a “low” value? The wealthy collectors who were invited to participate in the auction were unaware of the significance of the images.
The images were captured on July 8, 1960, in front of the Fox studios in New York City. They depict the diva, who was 33 years old at the time, displaying a big tummy. She was in town for hair and costume testing for the legendary film “The Misfits,” which she was about to feature in opposite Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift.
