Britney Spears keeps getting into trouble, and she just can’t get a break.

Even though her split from Sam Asghari is still ongoing, the pop star announced on Thursday that her family had a new member: a snow-white puppy named Snow. This time, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) criticized her.

PETA’s post on X (formerly Twitter) said, “With one cutesy post, Britney Spears ignored a lot of deserving dogs in shelters who need love, a soft bed to curl up on, and a chance at a real life.”

“She could have been a force for good and been adopted, but instead, she chose to be toxic.”

Britney Spears’ family recently got a new member: a snow-white puppy called Snow.

PETA’s response to Britney’s new four-legged friend definitely got a lot of attention, but most comments suggested that the group was just using Britney’s name to get in the news.

“You guys don’t really care. You’re just using her name to get attention, which is sad. One reply said, “Lost respect for you all.”

Someone else said, “The dog was already born…She didn’t give birth to them herself. I understand your feelings, but going after Britney won’t change anything about puppy mills.”

Since Britney has been through a lot lately, most fans thought this was good. However, PETA did not agree. Britney Spears Gets Slammed By PETA After Sharing News About Her Dog Snow

The news came a day after the pop star and her ex-husband, Sam Asghari, came to an understanding about how to split up their five dogs.

Britney didn’t directly reply to the statement, instead turning off comments on her Instagram post because of the criticism.

Britney and her ex-husband Sam Asghari worked out how to split up their five dogs on Tuesday. Britney filed for divorce from Sam last week.

Asghari will keep Porsha, the Doberman he bought in October 2021, to protect his then-wife. On the other hand, Spears will have full custody of the other four dogs, including Sawyer, an Australian Shepherd, Hannah, a Yorkie, and two smaller dogs, who will get to meet Spears’ new puppy.

But PETA has already spoken out against the Grammy winner before. In 2008, Christine Doré from PETA was upset with Britney because her “Circus” music video had elephants dressed up as circus performers.

“Because Britney is such a victim of the paparazzi and always complains and cries about how she hates being held up in her guarded house and can’t feel free, she should understand the horror captive animals go through when they’re used for entertainment,” Doré said.

“Except that Britney decides to be a singer, and her lifestyle comes with that. Animals are taken from their mothers when they are young, put in chains, and shocked with electric devices to get them to behave. That doesn’t seem like a free choice to me.”

When PETA discovered that Britney planned to use the same elephants and lions in her “Circus” tour, they wrote her a letter asking her to think again about using them in the shows. Surprisingly, the singer agreed to stop using these animals on her world tour.
