Sandra Bullock’s longtime partner, Bryan Randall, passed away after a three-year struggle with AIDS.
His family released a statement announcing his death, which stated, “With deep sadness, we announce that Bryan Randall peacefully departed on August 5th, concluding a valiant 3 year battle against ALS.”

Bryan opted to keep his battle with ALS secret, and his loved ones have honored that decision.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the unwavering medical professionals who guided us through the complexities of this illness, and to the exceptional nurses who became an integral part of our lives, often setting aside their own families to stand by ours,” the statement continued. As we grieve and try to process the devastating loss of Bryan, we ask for your respect and privacy during this time.

In an Instagram post, Bullock’s sister Gesine Bullock-Prado paid respect to Randall and described the tragic final hours of her sister and the late actress.

“I’m convinced that Bry has found the best fishing spot in heaven and is already casting his lure into rushing rivers teaming with salmon,” Gesine commented while sharing a photograph of Randall that was shot on Monday, August 7. The photograph was taken on August 7.

Gesine elaborated, “ALS is a cruel disease, but it gives me some peace of mind to know that he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled to help her look after him in their home.” “May you rest in peace, Bryan.”

When Bullock needed a photographer for her son’s birthday party in January 2015, she chose Randall. A few months later, they began dating, and not long after that, they made their first Red Carpet debut together, certain that they were destined to be together.

In a Red Table Talk interview, the Ocean 8 actor, known for being quiet about her personal life, spoke candidly about her partner, calling Randall the “love of [her] life.”

She also spoke highly of her blended family, admitting that there are times when she wishes she and her children were genetically identical. Sometimes I wish our skin tones were the same. Because then people would be more comfortable coming up to us,” Bullock explained. And I feel the same way about my babies that a lady with brown complexion does about her white babies.

She and her husband Randall raised their two adopted kids together. “He sets the example I wish my children to follow,” the actress said of her husband.
He is totally committed to Sandra and the kids, and she knows it,” a close confidante of Randall told Closer. For as long as I can remember, the kids have called Bryan “Daddy,” and he’s always delighted to hear the name.

Bullock spoke up about her personal life, explaining that she and Randall are taking their time getting married because they want to put their kids first. “I don’t need a paper to be a devoted partner, devoted mother,” she declared. No one has to tell me to be there during the tough times. I already know that a nice man will help me through any difficulty in life.

Bullock has been silent about the death of her boyfriend or girlfriend.

Randall’s loved ones have asked that donations be made to MGH or the ALS Association.

Our deepest condolences on your tragic loss. God grant her eternal rest.
