Tattoos are just one way that people can show who they are. Some people get small tattoos, while others cover whole parts of their bodies with art.
Tristan Weigelt, a 26-year-old tattoo trainee with a lot of extreme body art, made news when he showed what he looked like before he started tattooing.
The pictures from before were amazing.
Weigelt started getting tattoos when he was 20 years old and now has them on 95% of his body.
“Seeing myself without all the tattoos is kind of weird,” he told the Daily Star.
“But it’s funny, I still feel the same way inside as I did before.”
For him, getting tattoos on his face and head hurt the most. He said it felt like being scraped with a metal brush.
“There were six full-day sessions that lasted five to six hours each. The pain was about an eight out of ten.”
A lot of people get tattoos to mean something, but Weigelt said that his body art doesn’t have any secret meanings or messages.
Weigelt has spent $50,000 on tattoos over the course of five years.
That person who wants a tattoo should “get what you love and what makes sense to you,” says Weigelt. In my view, a lot of people are scared that a tattoo will not look good on them or match their style. “Get it if you like it.”
