This is the first time a blind dog meets the people who saved her. An adorable Cocker Spaniel named Olive almost didn’t see at all when a kind couple took her in. People who helped her when she was going through a hard time can now see her after a complicated surgery. Heart-melting: The moment was caught on video, and it’s so beautiful!
Olive was found on the streets of Palma de Mallorca, Spain, after she was most likely left by her previous owners. Olive is very friendly. Things didn’t look good for the cocker, even though she eventually had a place to stay. She had cataracts in both of her eyes, and that made her lose her vision, so she couldn’t see.

When a Canadian couple met Olive, they fell in love with her right away. Holly Emmerson and her husband, Bart, decided to adopt her, even though she couldn’t see. They would do everything they could to help her see again. A lot of people helped them raise enough money for surgery. When it was time, they were just as excited to see how Olive would react as she was to be seen again.

Holly took a picture of Olive when she came home from the clinic after a successful and very important eye surgery. The moment Olive sees her adoptive parents for the first time is just too beautiful to look at.
Seeing her that alert and looking us in the eye was “such a great thing to see.” There were tears in our eyes as soon as she came around the corner for us all. As soon as we took her home, she stared out the window for hours, taking in all the new sights.
I love the way Olive’s story makes me want to do better. In fact, it shows us that these amazing animals still have a lot to teach us about living things. “Olive is a great example that you should never let anything get in the way of having fun,” her mom said. Her story should make people think about life the same way.
People should watch this video to see the heartwarming moment.
