People usually think of strong, good-looking guys flying jets when we hear the word “pilot.” But now, women are taking the thrones.

Here is a list of the 10 most beautiful and skilled female pilots, along with links to their Instagram accounts.

There are more and more female pilots. According to data from the business, Mireille Goyer of the Institute for Women of Aviation Worldwide says there are just under 7,000 female airline pilots in the US, which is less than 5% of all pilots. But there are 15,971 female student pilots in the system right now, which is about 15%. “Closing the gender gap starts with getting to know aviation up close and personal and meeting local role models who are like you,” she said. Mindy Lindheim, who was in her third year of college and wanted to become a doctor, met a neighbour who was a Delta pilot. That meeting changed her life forever. She signed up for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University within a month. She worked as an assistant mechanic while getting her degree in aeronautical science. These days, she works for Textron Aviation as the Regional Sales Director. For Textron Aviation, she goes all over the country, and she loves all the different parts of her job.

She wound up selling planes by accident. I had to go after this job when I found out there was one because I didn’t know there were any flying sales jobs. For me, the task of sales work combined with the flying part of doing demo flights, moving planes, and showing them off at shows is like “the perfect storm.”

She said, “The G36 Bonanza is my favourite plane for almost any kind of day or flight.”

She works for Norwegian as a first officer on a Boeing 737. “So that my friends and family could see what I was up to,” the Dutch pilot said, she joined Instagram when she moved away from home.

According to Van Dam, she loves finding places to visit in northern Norway on her routes. However, she prefers going to places in Germany because the flights are so short. She has flown the 737 for about 1,500 hours now.

It blew my mind the first time I saw the cockpit with all of its lights and buttons. I knew right then that I wanted to learn more about becoming a pilot.

While I was working for my PPL, I was the only woman. During my ATPL, another woman joined, making two of us, which was nice. After that, I took my MCC course with two other women. And during my last part of training, Type Rating, I was the only woman again.

Helen said, “Don’t think that the aviation industry is only for men; you can do it if you want to!”

Helen likes to fly, but she also likes to swim, ride a bike, go hiking, dance, and snowboard. Eva’s life changed when she visited a flight school. At first, she was an English and writing undergrad. As the saying goes, the rest is history. Eva has been a pilot for almost five years. Since then, she has moved and is now flying the Boeing 747 for her new company in Hong Kong.

“I’ve always wanted to live in other countries and meet new people and see the world.” I’ve always been interested in other people’s stories and good at writing, so I always thought that becoming a journalist was my calling.

At some point, I think I was always interested in becoming a pilot, but I pushed the idea aside because I didn’t think I could do it since I didn’t do well in Maths and Chemistry. Reading and writing were more my thing.

My mum told me to check out a flight school in the Netherlands to see if it was something I might be interested in. When I finally went there, I fell in love with the idea of making a living flying planes. I was shocked when I learned that I had met all the standards to apply just because I had taken Physics and Maths in high school. Don’t ever think less of yourself, because anything is possible.” What Eva said.

Eva’s main goal on social media and her own website is to give people an honest look at what it’s like to be a pilot, share her stories and experiences, and make female pilots more visible.

The Canadian pilot Jodi Rueger says that she pays for her “flying habit” by flying. At night, she flies passenger jets for Swoop, a low-cost Canadian airline. That’s her day job. Aerobatic events are what she really loves to do. Jodi loves competing in events put on by the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) and showing other pilots how to do aerobatics.

Shannon Pereira has more than 8,000 hours of flight time and flies the E190 for JetBlue. She is from Pittsburgh and comes from a long line of pilots. Her dad was a captain for US Air. However, Pereira took to the air on her own. Her feed shows pictures from her trips in the Caribbean, a lot of flying, dancing (!), and lots of dogs. “I just tell my story and hope people like it.” I never would have thought that social media would help me make so many friends. It has been amazing, the pilot from Boston said.

A Jet Blue pilot named Shannon Pereira talks about how she combined her busy life with her love of animals and started volunteering to save and move dogs from high-kill shelters.

“Before I got my own dog, I didn’t know how much I loved animals.” Four people share a family dog, so you don’t really bond with the dog as much as you do when you are the only one who takes care of it. Once I understood how close I was to my little boy, I knew I had to help all of his friends who didn’t have as good of a life as he did.

As an airline pilot, I knew I wouldn’t be able to foster dogs or start my own rescue right away like I had hoped. That’s why I started looking into area rescues and other ways to help dogs in need. It turns out that a lot of people want to help get dogs from shelters to the right rescue.

Without planned transports and short-term foster care along the way, some of these dogs would have to be put down before they could get to their rescue. That’s when I knew this was the best way for me to help. I’m going to be on the road anyway, so I might as well bring my pet friend!

Pilot-N-Paws was the first business I found. They are made up of volunteers who either fly their own planes or cars or offer to be a pet’s flight companion on a commercial trip. For short transportation drives, she said, “Since I don’t have my own plane, I’ve started volunteering. It’s fun for me and my furry friend to go on the road.”

The Swedish 737 pilot Maria Fagerstr̥m is very well known, and she has over 500,000 Instagram fans. She says this about her Instagram account: “I’m here to give you a little look into the world of aviation with the goal of inspiring and empowering others.”

Maria tells people who aren’t sure if they want to become pilots, “I’m not telling you it’s going to be easy.” It will be worth it, I promise.

This is the truth. Training to fly is REALLY hard. You’ll probably have to cut back on your social life for a year or two, but I promise you that it will be WORTH IT when you get your wings.

“I get so happy and excited when we fly a fighter jet together, skydive, or ski on a mountain. “When I travel, I like to do something that gets my heart racing,” Maria Fagerstrom said.

“That’s where I feel calm when I fly back home and to work.” It’s how I relax. “That’s where I feel most at home and get ready for my next adventure,” she said.

From what I can tell from Instagram, Swedish women don’t let gender stereotypes stop them. Like Maria Fagerstr̥m, Malin Rydqvist is a Swedish woman pilot who lives and works in Spain at the moment. Malin says this about herself and other Swedish women pilots: “We are all very lucky to have grown up in a country where gender is never a problem and where people believe that whatever a man can do, a woman can do.”

Malin, who is 29 years old and from Sweden but lives in Croatia, changes from her hat and epaulettes to crop tops and tights as soon as she lands. The pictures she posts on Instagram have earned her more than 45,000 fans.

“Flying the machine” is her favourite part of being a pilot, she says. My favourite thing is flying the plane. It’s not the overlays, it’s not the location, or anything else.

Hard to do? It is, yes. There’s more to life than smooth flights and high-fives. It’s hard. The weather makes it harder, the weight of the plane changes how you handle it, the flow of traffic, etc.

If you want to work in this field, you can’t be lazy. You need to really want it.”

This adventure pilot from Oregon decided to start flying in October 2018. “I get asked all the time why I chose to get my pilot’s licence,” he said. I’m just a normal person whose life is normal. My family has never had a pilot. I’m seriously so lucky to have two beautiful children and a wonderful, helpful husband of 15 years. I have everything I need.
